I started my career in hairdressing when I became a Saturday girl in a Beccles salon at the age of 14. I loved the experience and by the time I’d finished high school, I knew becoming a hairdresser was the career path for me.
My creative personality and eye for design seemed to suit the hairdressing industry perfectly and this has since been realised with a career spanning more than 12 years. By the age of 19 I was a salon manager and just a few years later I became the owner of what would become Cabello Hair and Beauty.
Over the years I’ve received advanced training from a variety of renowned hair styling experts. This has included NVQ training at the John Olivers Hairdressing Group and a comprehensive creative cutting and colouring course from The Wella Studio in London. All of which has ensured my skills are both up-to-date and the best they can be for the benefit of my clients. I also have expertise in bridal hair, using clip-in extensions, hair pieces and hair accessories.
I love making people feel fantastic. Being able to quickly find the best style solution for someone based on their face shape, skin tone and lifestyle is very satisfying indeed. This taps into my philosophy that every salon experience should be unique and tailored to the individual, so the client leaves feeling absolutely wonderful.
When not in the salon I love to spend time with my loved ones including my little dog.
Laura has 10 years of experience in the hairdressing industry which has seen her work across Suffolk and in far flung places such as Australia. She brings a lot of expertise to Cabello including advanced knowledge of using the best Wella products. Having worked in salons and as a freelancer, Laura is able to quickly develop strong connections with our clients and understand their desires.
Like all great stylists, Laura is a ‘groundshaker’ and a ‘daymaker’. She loves to transform looks based on the latest trends and leave a client delighted with the hair treatment they receive. This gives them added confidence and an enthusiasm to face the world.
Outside salon hours Laura likes to spend quality time with family and friends.
Nicola has been with Cabello since the beginning. With over 12 years of experience, she has a skilled pair of hands and advanced knowledge when it comes to hair styling. After an apprenticeship with the John Olivers Hairdressing Group at the age of 16, she went on to gain valuable training experience with Ambassador of Schwarzkopf and Toni & Guy.
Nicola is very passionate about the creativity involved in the colouring, styling and cutting of ladies’ and gent’s hair. Her personal ethos - of providing a relaxing, enjoyable and friendly service which results in beautiful hair suited to the client’s lifestyle and personality - is in tune with Cabello’s as a whole.
When away from the salon, Nicola loves to renovate properties and spend time with her cute little puppy.
Harry places a close client/hairdresser relationship at the forefront of his styling services. He believes that you need to feel comfortable and confident with your hair stylist in order to get the best results. His friendly, relaxed and professional nature, together with his expertise and great listening skills, are widely appreciated by our clients.
After beginning his education in business and finance, Harry realised his true vocation lay in hairdressing. He’s trained and worked alongside award winning teams and completed advanced cutting courses with RedKen and L’Oréal. Creating new styles and giving people a new look is what he does best and he loves nothing more than seeing someone leave the salon feeling much more confident in themselves.
When not styling hair, Harry can be found playing in a 50s & 60s rock and roll band in the regional pubs and clubs.
Kirsty’s been at Cabello for more than 4 years and has a great deal of experience in hairdressing. During high school she worked as a Saturday girl in a local salon which planted a seed that would later turn into a passion. After a couple of years training in the travel industry Kirsty realised hair styling was what she really wanted to do. The passion then blossomed.
She’s been with us ever since, right through her training, and is now a really talented stylist. Her personal ethos is to ensure the client leaves with a smile, beautiful looking hair and boosted confidence in their appearance. Kirsty especially loves delivering a comprehensive style transformation for women who come in and say ‘I want a complete change!’
In her spare time Kirsty likes to relax with friends and explore foreign countries.
Kelsey is an exciting young talent we have working with us on a part-time basis. She’s currently completing an advanced hairdressing course at Norwich College and will soon be starting a hair extension course in early 2016. We’re really excited to see her skills developing and our clients have had nothing but praise for her professionalism.
She loves working with short textured styles and creative hair ups. All of her free time at the moment is spent studying hard and perfecting her craft.
Toni is our second junior stylist and also an exciting prospect. When not working in the salon she’s studying hairdressing at Lowestoft College. During her time there she’s received the much converted ‘Hairdresser of the Year 2015’ award to which we’re all immensely proud of her.
She goes above and beyond in her work and loves the challenges associated with becoming a top hairdresser. Toni is a creative person and particularly enjoys colour work and hair ups. Her positive nature is infectious.
Toni’s weekends are spent travelling up and down the country supporting her son in his sport.
